A Candid Discussion of Police Reform in American led by Jay Berman

Drawing from Jay Berman’s 50 years of experience as a police practitioner, trainer, and academic, he will survey the evolution of the relationship between the police and the community. He will present an overview, from the beginnings of urban law enforcement, through the various eras of police history, crises and reform efforts, to the current period of tension and conflict.
Beverly Asaro will join us to discuss the role of the police in addressing social problems and community justice.
